DESCRIPTION:Soft, aliphatic, water-borne urethane dispersion.

SUGGESTED USES:HD-2001 was designed for use in textile applications that require a soft hand coupled with very good strength, abrasion resistance, excellent adhesion, and excellent resiliency. Due to its overall properties, HD-2001 can be used as a finish or a coating. This versatile urethane is ideally suited for use as a finish for nylon and polyester threads and as a coating for nylon and vinyl substrates. HD-2001 is also ideally suited for textile-coating applications that require excellent low temperature flex crack resistance. The low melt temperature also allows HD-2001 to be used as a heat seal coating. When properly formulated, HD-2001 can be used as a coating for awning fabrics, boat cover fabrics, and other architectural fabrics.

APPLICATION:Spray or pad -- solids may be adjusted for optimum add-on. May be thickened with HA-921 for knife coating.

CURING:No crosslinking suggested for heat seal coatings. Melamine-formaldehyde (3 - 6 phr) provides improved performance.
