DESCRIPTION:An aliphatic, polyester-based, aqueous polyurethane dispersion.
SUGGESTED USES:HD-2007 was designed primarily for topcoat applications where excellent abrasion resistance is required. HD-2007 can be blended with HD-2001 (a softer grade) to achieve intermediate properties for flexible and rigid substrates including plastics, metals and textiles.
CHARACTERISTICS:
- Dries to a clear, glossy film
- Outstanding toughness and abrasion resistance.
- Dilution and clean up of wet material with water.
- Crosslinkable for improved adhesion and performance
- Contains n-methyl pyrrolidone co-solvent
APPLICATION:HD-2007 can be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray or rotogravure applications. HD-2007 may be thickened with associative thickeners for alternative application methods.
DRYING:HD-2007 can be air dried, if desired, depending on film thickness. Typical drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties.
