DESCRIPTION:Stiff, fire retardant, aliphatic, water-borne urethane dispersion.

SUGGESTED USES:HD-2301was designed for use as a coating or finish for synthetic textile fabrics that must have permanent fire retardancy. Low add-on levels of HD-2301 will enable synthetic fabrics to pass various FR tests including NFPA-701, MVSS-302, & others. The film properties of HD-2301 also provide a stiff hand and excellent molding/pleating properties. Due to its aliphatic composition, excellent UV resistance is also exhibited. This combination of properties makes HD-2301 an excellent coating or finish for synthetic pleated shades, vertical blinds, and other fabrics that must be stiff, flexible, and fire retardant.

APPLICATION:Spray or pad -- solids may be adjusted for optimum add-on. May be thickened with HA-921 for knife coating.

CURING:Excellent strength properties as supplied. Melamine-formaldehyde (3 - 6 phr) provides improved performance.
