DESCRIPTION: An NMP-free, APEO-free, silicone-modified, polyester-based, water-borne polyurethane dispersion.

SUGGESTED USES: L-2857 was designed primarily for topcoat applications where slip and abrasion resistance properties are required. L-2857 contains a non-fugitive silicone component that provides low surface tension characteristics on flexible and rigid substrates including plastics, metals and textiles.

CHARACTERISTICS:

• May be formulated into low surface tension coatings

• Non-fugitive silicone component
• Crosslinkable for improved adhesion and performance
• Contains dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether co-solvent

APPLICATION: L-2857 may be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray or rotogravure applications. Rheology modifications can be made with associative thickeners for alternative application methods.

DRYING: L-2857 can be air dried, if desired, depending on film thickness. Typical oven drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties.
